MAHP annually engages with the legislature and appropriate state agencies to advocate for actuarially sound rates for Medicaid. Actuarially sound rates ensure the financial viability of the plans who provide care to nearly a quarter of Michigan’s residents.
Integrating mental health and physical health into one comprehensive process is our ultimate goal. Integration leads to better care and health for the whole person. We must view physical and mental health as one and our plans are dedicated to ensuring high quality, coordinated care.
Creating transparency in health care can improve competition and increase the value while moderating the cost of care. Transparency starts with the availability of data to patients, employers, government, and providers. Increasing access to this data is of crucial importance to the next generation of health care.
