MAHP responds to Gov. Whitmer’s What’s Next address
LANSING, Mich. – Michigan Association of Health Plans (MAHP) executive director Dominick Pallone issued the following statement after Gov. Whitmer’s What Happens Next address.
“The single highest cost to health care is prescription drugs. Unlike health plans and providers who are regulated at the state level, drug manufacturers are not. Their time has come.
Michiganders are tired of paying sticker-shock prices for Big Pharma’s unregulated prescription drugs. This must end.
We look forward to working with Governor Whitmer and the Legislature to hold drug manufacturers accountable by creating a prescription drug affordability review board. The time is now.”
