Priority Health appoints Alicia Coronas as first-ever vice president of employer solutions products

Priority Health, a nationally recognized nonprofit health plan, has appointed Alicia Coronas as vice president of employer solutions products. In this newly created role, Coronas will focus on the development and execution of a comprehensive multi-year strategy for all commercial group markets, market-leading innovative products, and programs to drive differentiated value to employers and Priority Health members.
Prior to joining Priority Health, Coronas most recently served as divisional vice president, product solutions at Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) where she led product strategy for large employers for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. With 20+ years of health care experience, Coronas has a long list of accomplishments including the launch of a redesigned well-being management suite of products and the development of an advocacy and navigation product.
“Alicia is a strategic leader who is focused on developing health care solutions for mission-driven organizations and has directed comprehensive growth strategies in the employer group segment,” said Megan Schmidt, senior vice president of employer solutions at Priority Health. “With her customer-first mindset and human-centric design principles, she will lead the team in our continued efforts to increase member engagement while improving outcomes and experiences within the health care system.”
Coronas has also held roles at the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Accenture, and Hewitt Associates. She received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University with a concentration in health sector management. Coronas is a current board member of Chicago Run and is a certified health insurance executive through AHIP.
