What is telehealth?
Telehealth or telemedicine is medical care you get by phone or video. Instead of traveling to the doctor, you can stay where you are.

How much does telehealth cost?
Some health plans offer telehealth to members at no cost — including Molina Healthcare. If you’re not covered, there may still be no- or low-cost options near you.

No traveling, parking or taking time off work to see the doctor.
Telehealth saves you time and money. People with issues walking can save their strength by staying put. There’s no sitting in a waiting room while your doctor is busy with other patients. And you can keep the money you would have spent on gas, parking or public transportation.

Open 24/7.
Many health care providers offer telehealth appointments around the clock. You can get treatment and prescriptions right away and start on the road to better health. Talk with your health care professional for more details.

What conditions can be treated with telehealth?
Get help with all these conditions online:

  • Cold and flu
  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Sinus problems
  • Headache
  • Stomachache
  • Rashes
  • Allergies
  • Upper respiratory infection

Telehealth is often a great alternative for doctor visits and urgent care – but not emergency care.
Sometimes, seeing a nurse practitioner or doctor in person is the best option. Check with your doctor to see which choice is right for you. And, always, if you or someone near you is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

How do I know if my doctor offers telehealth?
If you’re a Molina Healthcare member, telehealth is included in your plan. Need more information? Ask your doctor if they offer telehealth.
