Priority Health’s Joyce Chan Russell named Emerging Industry Leader by national organization

Joyce Chan Russell, senior vice president of government markets for Priority Health, was selected as a recipient of a 2022 Emerging Industry Leader Award by Managed Executive Healthcare, a national organization that supports health care executives with industry insights and strategies.

Russell is one of 10 health care leaders nationwide to be chosen for the recognition. The annual award identifies innovative and rising leaders from a broad range of industry segments, including doctors, technology entrepreneurs and health plan executives. Russell is featured in the September 2022 issue of Managed Executive Healthcare Magazine (page 46).

“I am truly honored to receive this award and am proud to lead such a dedicated and talented team of professionals,” Russell said. “Supporting health care for vulnerable populations is one of my great passions, and I’m thankful to be part of an organization that values creative thinking, is committed to achieving health equity, and is focused on making care and coverage better for everyone.”

At Priority Health, Russell oversees the Individual, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid markets. Her responsibilities include driving growth, partnering with industry and government stakeholders, and delivering on quality and operational goals – all in alignment with Priority Health’s overarching effort to transform health care. Currently, her work supports the Annual Enrollment Period and Open Enrollment Period, helping to improve equitable access to affordable health care options.

The award rounds out Russell’s first year at Priority Health. She joined the organization in August 2021.
