Molina Healthcare of Michigan, Second Ebenezer Church, Forgotten Harvest and Wayne State University partnered to host a drive-thru event – administering COVID-19 swab tests and distributing hundreds of self-care items.
“COVID-19 hit the Detroit-area hard, and Molina is always seeking ways to support and give back to our local communities, particularly during this challenging time,” said Heidi McGlinnen, associate vice president of community engagement for Molina Healthcare of Michigan.
“We’re thankful for community partners like Second Ebenezer Church, Forgotten Harvest and Wayne State University that share in our mission.”
During the event, cloth face masks and hygiene kits, including a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant and shampoo, were distributed. Attendees also received food items from Forgotten Harvest and COVID-19 swab testing from Wayne State University.
